| Welcome to our website We trust that you will find some useful information on our site and encourage you to visit us at one of our services or groups where you will be warmly welcomed. We are situated on the beautiful central coast of New South Wales in the Lakes Anglican Parish and the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle, in a rapidly expanding area. We have a diverse range of people living in the area - many retirees, but also many young families. It is our desire to reach out to these and all people in God's love and to build a vibrant and caring community. |

The annual Synod Eucharist was held at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Thursday evening September 20, 2007 where it was officially proclaimed that the Parish of Gorokan would now be known as Lakes Anglican. Our new logo is a sign of the journey we are on as a parish. The letters L&A which look a bit like sails, are joined together as we are all joined together in God's love and forgiveness. The cross of the old logo has been simplified, and is made up of different pieces, reminding us of the fact that we who are many are one body in Christ. Superimposed on the cross are the dove and the flames, symbols of the Holy Spirit, as we continue the Church of the Holy Spirit. The colours of blue and red continue from the old logo, reminding us of water and fire, the symbols of our Baptism and the Spirit at work in our lives. |
